AI-Powered Operations

I run operations so you canrun your business.

The Reality

You have a business to grow, clients to serve, and work that matters. You don't have time to be your own operations department.

I step into your business and take over the operational work — managing projects, coordinating logistics, streamlining workflows, keeping the moving parts moving. The difference is how I do it. I build AI-powered systems underneath that let me work faster, more accurately, and at a scale that a traditional operations hire can't match.

I don't ask you to redesign how you work to fit a product. I listen to how you work and build systems that fit you.

What I Do

Operations, powered by AI.

Project & Program Management

I manage complex projects from planning through delivery — timelines, resources, stakeholders, risks, and reporting. Whether it's a single initiative or a portfolio of concurrent projects, I bring the structure that keeps things on track and the communication that keeps everyone aligned.

AI gives me an edge here: I build systems that track progress across multiple workstreams, flag issues before they escalate, and generate status updates and reports automatically — so I'm spending my time on decisions and strategy, not on assembling spreadsheets.

Best for

Organizations running multiple initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, or delivering complex work that needs consistent oversight and clear communication.

Operations & Workflow Management

I take over the day-to-day operational work that's eating your time — process management, coordination, documentation, follow-ups, reporting. The work that has to happen for everything else to function, but that doesn't need to be done by you.

Behind the scenes, I design workflows where AI handles the repetitive steps: reading documents, routing information, generating drafts, keeping systems in sync. The result is operations that run with fewer gaps, fewer manual handoffs, and fewer things falling through the cracks.

Best for

Business owners and leaders who are personally managing too many operational details, teams with workflows that depend on someone remembering to do something, and organizations where information lives in too many places.

Consulting & Client Operations Support

If you're a consultant, advisor, or professional services firm, I manage the operational side of your practice — client communications, scheduling, speaking engagements, proposal coordination, CRM management, booking logistics, and the administrative work that keeps revenue moving.

I use AI to do this at a level that would normally require a team: personalized client outreach drafted from your actual project history, booking coordination across multiple calendars and stakeholders, proposal assembly that pulls from your existing materials and tailors to each opportunity.

Best for

Independent consultants, advisory firms, and professional services practices that need operational support but not a full-time hire — and want that support to be smarter than a traditional assistant.

Systems & Technology Strategy

Your tools should work for you, not create more work. I assess what you're using, identify what's not connected, and build integrations that let information flow where it needs to go — without someone manually bridging the gaps.

This is where AI changes the game entirely. I design systems where your email, your documents, your project tools, and your client data actually talk to each other — with AI orchestrating the connections and handling the tasks that don't need human judgment.

Best for

Teams using multiple platforms that don't connect, organizations drowning in manual data entry between systems, and anyone who's ever said "someone needs to update the spreadsheet."

How We Work Together

Two ways to work together.

Build.

A focused 2–3 month engagement.

I learn how your operation runs, design and build the AI-powered systems and workflows you need, document everything, and hand it over. You walk away with infrastructure that works — and the knowledge to maintain it.

Run.

Ongoing operational partnership.

I manage your projects, run your workflows, handle your client operations, and continuously improve how things work. You get a dedicated operations partner without a full-time hire.

Some clients need one. Some need both. We'll figure out which makes sense for you.

Why This Is Different

The technology is tailored to you. Not you tailored to the technology.

There's no shortage of people selling AI right now. Most of them show up with a pre-built product and ask you to change how you work to fit it. If it doesn't quite match your operation, too bad — that's what they've got.

I work the other way around. I start by understanding how your business actually runs — the real workflows, the tools you already use, the way information moves between people. Then I build systems that wrap around your operation, not the other way around.

This approach works across industries because the core skill is operational, not niche-specific. I currently work across post-secondary education, DEI consulting, and staffing and recruitment — three sectors with nothing in common except that they all have operations that need to run well. The principles are the same: understand the work, reduce the friction, build systems that last.

What makes me different from traditional operations support is the AI. What makes me different from AI agencies is the operations. Most AI people can wire up a tool but can't tell you whether the workflow it automates should even exist. Most operations people can manage a process but can't build the systems that make it scale. I do both.

How I Think About AI

Principles, not hype.

AI should be invisible.

If you're thinking about the AI, something's wrong. You should be thinking about the work getting done, the projects moving forward, and the operations running smoothly. AI is the engine, not the product.

Not everything needs AI.

If a step follows the same logic every time, it should be reliable code. If it needs genuine judgment or interpretation, that's where AI earns its place. And if it needs a human decision, no technology should be making it. The right system has clear boundaries between all three.

The architecture matters more than the model.

A well-designed system using last year's AI will outperform a poorly designed system using the latest model. Every time. The value is in how things connect, how errors are handled, and how humans stay in control.

I build to leave, not to lock in.

Everything I build is documented, governed, and designed to be maintained. Whether we work together for three months or three years, you'll always understand what's running and how to manage it.

About

Tracy E. Garrick

Tracy E. Garrick

My work sits at the intersection of project leadership, operational systems, and AI — and I've been in operations long before AI entered the conversation.

I've spent my career working alongside leaders and cross-functional teams to plan and deliver complex initiatives, design workflows that support the way people actually work, and introduce technology in ways that are sustainable and human-centred. My focus has always been on helping good intentions become finished, well-executed work.

More recently, I've gone deep on AI — not at the surface level, but architecturally. I build multi-agent platforms, design workflow orchestration systems, and implement solutions where AI reads documents, drafts communications, and executes business processes across email, cloud storage, and project management tools. I understand this technology at the level of system design, which is what lets me make sound decisions about where it genuinely helps and where it just adds cost.

I believe in working with what already exists. Rather than over-engineering or constant reinvention, I look for what's functioning well, strengthen it, and improve what's not. This approach respects both people and systems, and leads to solutions that last.

If you need operations support that's sharper, faster, and more scalable than what you've had before — delivered by someone who genuinely understands both the work and the technology — I'd be glad to connect.
